Illinois Library Systems: Standards and Rules Revision Process

In the summer of 2008, it was announced that the Standards under which Illinois Library Systems operate would be revised. A committee was convened by the Illinois State Library and work began. You can view a draft document of that committee's progress on this site. Comments are encouraged and can be submitted through the site.

During this process, it was also announced that the Rules portion would be revised as well by a seperate committee. The current proposed revsion of the Rules will be available after the committee has their first meeting in the Spring of 2010.
