- Library Systems have 2,184 member library agencies:
- 201 Academic Libraries
- 647 Public Libraries
- 901 School Districts
- 435 Special Libraries
- Library Systems are funded by grants from the Secretary of State's office
through funds appropriated by the Illinois General Assembly.
- Library Systems support shared computerized catalogs of over 30.6 million
resources for over 700 libraries.
- Library Systems provide physical delivery of nearly 24 million library materials
annually.
- Library System members shared more than 4 million resources with other members
between July 2007 and June 2008.
- Library Systems offered 1,308 continuing education and training events to
over 18,000 participants between July 2007 and June 2008.
- Library System members share over 7.5 million resources through reciprocal
borrowing annually.
