- Library Systems have 2,202 member library agencies:
- 199 Academic Libraries
- 647 Public Libraries
- 909 School Districts
- 447 Special Libraries
- Library Systems are funded by grants from the Secretary of State's office
through funds appropriated by the Illinois General Assembly.
- Library Systems support shared computerized catalogs of over 30.3 million
resources for over 780 libraries.
- Library Systems provide physical delivery of over 12.6 million library materials
annually.
- Library System members shared more than 3 million resources with other members
between July 2006 and June 2007.
- Library Systems offered 1,586 continuing education and training events to
over 20,000 participants between July 2006 and June 2007.
- Library System members share over 8.4 million resources through reciprocal
borrowing annually.
